During these four days excursion, we will explore the most famous locations in the Golden Circle and the South, and the West. See our stunning glacier lagoon Jökulsárlón, Europe's largest glacier, and travel to one of the most visually stunning areas of Iceland's Snæfellsnes peninsula. In this multiday tour package we combine some of our best tour options. You’ll get the chance to see the beautiful Western Iceland. There, you’ll explore the hidden gem of the West, the peninsula of Snæfellsnes also known as “Iceland in a nutshell”. Snaefellsnes is characterized by magnificent and picturesque sites: glacial-carved mountains, endless black beaches, moss topped lava fields, volcanic craters, coastal cliffs topped off by the volcanic glacier Snæfellsjökull and the Center of the Earth. You’ll also get the chance to see the famous geothermal erupting Geysir, the powerful waterfall Gullfoss and Thingvellir National Park in the Golden Circle. You’ll also be taken to the famous South Coast. Along the shore, you’ll get to see the two waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, and the famous Black Sand Beach. You’ll also visit the stunning Glacier Lagoon Jökulsárlón in Vatnajökull National Park, where you’ll also get the chance to explore Europe’s largest glacier and enter a blue ice cave. And if nature allows, you’ll get a view of the magnificent Northern Lights at night. This itinerary is provided as a sample for reference only. We start with a two-day tour in west Iceland. Prepare to explore amazing things like lava fields, dreamy waterfalls, dark caves, black and white beaches, historical locations, and the mighty Snæfellsjökull glacier of the west. Please note that the order of the itinerary may change depending on weather and availability. This itinerary is provided as a sample for reference only. 2 Days
After being picked up in Reykjavik in the morning, your next two days will be an unforgettable adventure exploring the many amazing natural wonders of the South Coast of Iceland. On the first day, visits to the famous waterfalls, Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss are amongst the highlights, but you also visit the less known but no less beautiful waterfalls of Gljufrabui and Irafoss. The black sand beach of Reynisfjara with its amazing surrounding area completes this exciting day. After a good rest in a hotel with private bathrooms, your adventure continues on the second day, where you will visit the beautiful Skaftafell and walk on the Diamond Beach, an amazing black beach scattered with icebergs, next to Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. The stunning Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon is where huge icebergs float in ice-cold water and seals swim around them. The highlight of the tour is a visit to a natural ice cave in Vatnajökull, Iceland’s largest glacier. The ice in the cave is spectacularly blue and is a very popular attraction. If you want to enjoy the Icelandic nature to the fullest and to witness one of Iceland's most incredible natural phenomena, then you should book this tour now, as availability is very limited. Please note: it is only possible to bring small carry-on luggage, such as backpacks, for the tour.
Explore mind-blowing places by day and in the evening, if the forecast is good, you can spend your free time enjoying the Icelandic northern lights, hopefully, their glorious colors will swirl across the sky. Taking off from Reykjavík early in the morning we begin with the sights of West Iceland including the dramatic Hraunfossar waterfall, where the water cascades out through the black lava in a graceful wide arc. Also on the agenda is Reykholt and Snorralaug, the pool where the historian and saga writer, Snorri Sturluson is reputed to have bathed. The night is spent at a hotel on the Snæfellsness peninsula. Snæfellsness has a tremendous diversity of scenery, everything from the craggy sharp inlets and cliffs to the glistening glacier, jagged-toothed mountains, soft farmlands, and quaint towns and fishing villages. Go caving in an ancient lava tube, hike to a black pebble beach with the most stunning cliff formations, visit Kirkjufell, a favorite of photographers and so much more. Your hotel will be in the Reykjavík area. The delights of the Golden Circle: Þingvellir, site of Iceland´s historic parliament, Alþingi, and one of the most geologically amazing places in the world. Visit Gullfoss, a truly majestic waterfall, and Geysir where you will witness Stokkur, spouting magnificent jets of steam upwards every few minutes. See Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls and far more along the south coast including the black sand beach at Reynisfjara. You will spend the night at a country hotel near Vík. Tomorrow is a glacier day! You will explore a natural ice cave in Vatnajökull, the largest glacier in Europe. Our certified guide will lead through and share some fascinating information about these icy labyrinths. Next, Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, you will be astonished by the amazingly shaped icebergs, many of them displaying startling shades of blue. Then for the Diamond Beach, to see, in the mystical light of twilight, sparkling ice-monoliths on the black sand beach. The night will be spent at a hotel at Skaftafell. On your final day, you go on a never to be forgotten glacier hike. An hour of power on the ice, your little group, a glacier guide and the forces of nature which created this white majesty. On the way back to Reykjavík there are more sights to be seen along the south coast. Return to the city is between 20:00 and 23:00
